Getting around the city, petits taxis are easy to find along the main avenues and are invariably metered - as long as the meter is switched on you will rarely pay more than 6dh per taxi for a trip round town. For Aïn Diab the fare is currently 18dh (4dh extra if you get the driver to detour en route round the Mosquée Hassan II). There is a 20 percent surcharge at night.

You are unlikely to need to make use of city bus services, other than those from the airport or Gare des Voyageurs, and, if headed for the seaside, the #9 service from Boulevard de Paris to Aïn Diab. They get very crowded at rush hours.

Traffic is a nightmare in Casa: if you can avoid driving , try to do so. If you have a car, the larger hotels at Aïn Diab offer more security than those in the city centre.
