Funky Monkey (Kafe Kera Lucu) , southeast off the southern end of Monkey Forest Road, central Ubud. Small, urban-style disco-bar with trendy decor and reasonably priced drinks. Currently Ubud's main gay venue, though it attracts a mixed crowd. Shuts about 1am.

Jazz Café , Jl Sukma, Peliatan. Rather stylish open-sided café that stages quality live jazz every night from 7.30pm. Check flyers for performance details.

Putra Bar , next to Ubud Village hotel on the central stretch of Monkey Forest Rd, central Ubud. Very lively bar-restaurant that runs themed nights, including frequent reggae evenings, complete with live band. There's a dance floor and a Kuta-ish atmosphere.
