Duty-free shopping is an irresistible draw for many visitors to Aruba. Bargain-hunters crowd the heart of the shopping district in downtown Oranjestad, where shopping malls, duty-free stores, boutiques and craft shops line the main streets of L.G. Smith Boulevard, Havenstraat and Caya G.F. Betico Croes. Most stores are full of imported goods such as fragrances, linens, liquors, gold jewellery, watches, cameras, name-brand fashions and Dutch porcelain figurines. Malls of note are the large Seaport Mall within the luxurious Sonesta Beach Resort and Casino complex, the nearby two-storey Royal Plaza Mall at the corner of Weststraat and L.G. Smith Boulevard, and the open-air Seaport Marketplace Mall on the east side of the harbour and across L.G. Smith Boulevard. Shops are open Monday to Saturday 8am-6.30pm; many close for lunch between noon and 2pm. A small cluster of craft stalls selling typical souvenirs and wooden handicrafts can also be found at the Wharfside Market on L.G. Smith Boulevard.
