Despite Dangriga's central position in Garífuna culture, there's no restaurant specializing in Garífuna food - you'll find it's generally more readily available in Hopkins. The restaurant at the Pelican Beach is the top place in town, with staff skilled in preparing Belizean specialities. The Riverside Restaurant , on the south bank of the river just over the bridge, is easily the best place in the town centre, serving tasty Creole food, including great breakfasts and a daily special. King Burger (not what you might think) under the Riverside Hotel serves good rice, chicken, fish and burgers. Of the several Chinese restaurants on the main street, the Starlight is the best value.
