Buses stop in the marketplace, behind Burns Avenue, the town's main street. Novelo's run regular services from Belize City, continuing to Benque Viejo, for the Guatemalan border (30min); a shared taxi to the border costs only US$2 per person. You can leave luggage at Novelo's, too, or at Mayawalk Bar , easily visible from the bus stop and also good for information. Although there's no official tourist office in San Ignacio, Bob Jones, owner of the long-established Eva's Bar on Burns Avenue, is a good source of information. Eva's also has Internet access , as does Top Cat at 8 Hudson St - it's worth visiting the Cayo district's superb Web site at www.belizex.com/cayo.htm . Most other facilities can also be found on Burns Avenue, including banks , though there's no reliable ATM in town. The post office is next to Courts furniture store in the centre of town.
