for what's on when. The most anticipated (and drunken) event of the year, though, is
Carnival

) - St Thomas's is one of the oldest and largest celebrations in the Caribbean and really kicks into gear the last two weeks of April. The revels take place all around downtown Charlotte Amalie with elaborate costumed street parades, a dancing till dawn frenzy called J'ouvert, music competitions like the famous Panorama and a final blowout when fireworks light up St Thomas harbour.
