Great food but quite pricey
Reviewed by A TripAdvisor Member on Sep 22, 2008

We sat outside on a crisp evening, so we could people watch. Our waitress was hysterically funny and provided great service. Our food was so fabulous. But the price was ridiculous, we thought. Too much for a plate of lasagna, etc. Still, it was tasty and the experience was really great, due to our fabulous waitress.

The Best in Town

Being a local this is my fav restaurant in town. The menu is large but all the Pizzas are great you cant go wrong ! They also do lovely salads , garlic bread, Pasta, Steaks and wines. Check out their website http://www.bistrobianconi.ie/ Tip for you. The O'Connell Street branch is where to go if you want to sit down and have a meal. Its on a pedestrian only street and as parking can be quite a challenge in sligo i recommend you park in Wine Street car park (payable hourly - parking meters on-site) and walk to the restaurant - 2 min walk either through Tesco store or via Wine St to the top of O'Connell St and walk down (5 mins). Use your map/GPS. You can only book 25% of the tables the rest are first come first serve. It theres a queue then give your name to the hostess and she will put you on the list and give you an approx time. Then i recommend you go across the road to either Hargadons or Mc Garrigles Pub. Have a drink or two there then go back over the road to the Bistro. You can also have a drink while you wait in the Bistro while you wait if you wish. If you want something on the run or delivered then go to the branch on High Street. Parking is a bit easier there on the street there. Food is just as nice and its handy. If you are staying in a B&B in town or even in a hotel or other holiday accomodation in Rosses Point or within 10Km of town they will deliver (for a small fee and a min order value) All in all a great place to eat - Oulets in Dublin and Galway also! The Bisro does incredibly delicious pizza. There's also a take-away bianconi on High Street. Well worth visiting!

Great Italian food in Sligo, Ireland
Reviewed by A TripAdvisor Member on May 27, 2008

We had a great (albeit expensive) meal here - it was probably our best meal in our ten days in Ireland. The service was excellent and the menu options were broad and well-described. This restaurant had more gourmet pizza choices than any I've ever seen. I couldn't figure out which one I wanted and ended up ordering the lasagna - I wasn't disappointed with my choice (although in my eagerness, I burnt the roof of my mouth on this individually prepared piece of heaven).
