Default Leaning tower

A small German church has laid a bold claim to the title of “World’s most squinty building“.
Located in the town of Bad Frankenhausen, the bell tower of a 14th century church has been measured at an angle of 4.5 degrees to the vertical.

I know it is not the only one leaning building in Europe. What else do we have?

I thought I would add this one: its not so much a leaning tower as a crooked spire(it also should belong in UK&Eire thread), it is in Chesterfield, England.

I like to think the builders were drunk! The real reason is a little more sinister as it was built at the period the Black death swept across Europe and there was a shortage of skilled Carpenters.

There is of course the very obvious one: The Leaning Tower of Pisa, Italy

Wow, there is an oficial web page of the Tower

Tower of Pisa

Quote:
In the past it was widely believed that the inclination of the Tower was part of the project ever since its beginning, but now we know that it is not so. The Tower was designed to be "vertical" (and even if it did not lean it would still be one of the most remarkable bell towers in Europe), and started to incline during its construction.

That is an interesting thread. There are a lot of leaning buildings all over the Europe. Some of them are the mistake of architectures, some of them are the result of history.
