Pilies gatve or Castle Street is the main street in the Old Town. Open mainly to pedestrian traffic, it is located just a few steps away from Cathedral Square, Gedimino Castle, and the Presidential Palace. In the neighborhood you will find many historic buildings, as well as Gothic and Renaissance style churches, museums, many excellent restaurants, bars, night clubs, coffee shops, and numerous art and souvenir shops. Places of interest are all close by, freeing you from the need for any public transportation. The main advantage of being here is you are located exactly in the heart of the Old Town.
