This bright apartment is located on the fourth floor (with elevator) of a modernist building by one of Barcelona's most notorious architects: Domenech i Montaner. His daughter used to live on the first floor. Both the entrance of the building and the Eixample area breath the grandeur of the late-nineteenth century bourgeoisie, that knew how to marry class and practical daily life. The owner, who is a painter, decorated the studio in her own warm, personal style, even including some of her artwork.
The apartment is located on the Gran Via de las Cortes Catalanes, one of the main arteries in the city, and thus enjoying excellent connections. The whole Eixample area as well as the old city center, which is nearby, can be discovered on foot. Just in front of the apartment one can take the red underground line (stop Urgell), either to go in 4-5 minutes to Plaza Catalunya or to the fairground Plaza Espanya. The direct airport bus stops at only a few meters. Restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops are all around.
The Gran Via Studio, of 50 m2, is very bright and practical, and very well equipped. The living room with sitting and dining area is pleasant and spacious, separated from the fully equipped semi-American kitchen. A separate bedroom offers a double bed and enormous built-in closet. The bathroom includes a bath/shower combination.
