Established in 1976, Alaska’s Fishing Unlimited Lodge is a premier fly out fishing lodge and in 2003 was listed in "The Worlds Great Luxury Fishing Resorts " North American Edition by Michael Caldwell. The Lodge is located 170 air miles Southwest of Anchorage, Alaska, on the shores of Lake Clark in the midst of Lake Clark National Park. We fish the most varied and exciting waters in the Bristol Bay watershed, the Iliamna trophy area, Kodiak Island and the Tikchik area.
We consider our fishing program to be the best in Alaska! The Lodge operates two Cessna 206 floatplanes and two Dehavilland Beaver floatplanes and we book only 14 anglers per week. Aircraft and pilot/guides stay with our guests all day every day. We put our anglers on the fish and it doesn’t matter if they are an expert or a novice fisherperson. they will have a great day. We fish for all five species of Pacific Salmon. From the middle of June to mid July the mighty King Salmon run is at its peak followed by three weeks of extraordinary Red Salmon fishing. The Silver Salmon run starts in early August and lasts through late September and is always very productive. During even years, the Silver run is augmented by millions of Pink Salmon. Chum Salmon are always plentiful from mid June to early August. Rainbow Trout, Arctic Char, Northern Pike and Arctic Grayling fishing is superb throughout the season. It is not unusual to land a trophy Rainbow Trout in August and September.
Property amenities:
The lodge sits on five beautiful wooded acres along the shore of a secluded bay on Lake Clark. Two large cedar lodges flank 9 cabins, two hot tubs and two wood fired saunas. We dine in one lodge and the other lodge is our recreation lodge. It has a pool table, fly-tying station, a bar, videos, a gift shop and plenty of room to sit by the fire. Because the lodge is on a lake instead of a river, we have very few bugs and you can enjoy your evenings relaxing outdoors. You can play horse shoes, volleyball, sing around a bon fire, take an invigorating hike, or just relax on one of our decks and soak in the surrounding mountains.
Our nine cabins, scattered over the five acres, are tucked away in the trees and connected by cedar boardwalks. These warm hideaways sleep two people each. Two cabins can take three people if a group wants to stay together. We can usually accommodate a single guest in a private cabin. Each cabin is equipped with a bathroom, shower, 24-hour electricity, and plenty of space to organize your gear. While you're on the river, we'll make sure your cabin is clean and well stocked with fresh towels. Upon your return, there will be ice and a freshly prepared appetizer waiting for you. The scenic view from your cabin's deck is truly awesome.
