Chalet Montesano is a Swiss-Alpine style chalet in a sunny forest clearing-convenient to the ski slopes, shops and restaurants, yet removed from the traffic and noise of both the highway and the village center. Summer, fall or winter: outdoor mountain recreation is just outside the door.
And remember, the Chalet Montesano is not only our business, it is also our home.
With just seven guest accommodations, the chalet specializes in romantic get-aways for those seeking distinctive lodging. The owners, Victor and Karin Fröhlich, are the hotel’s only staff, seeing to every detail. They are also skiing, hiking, mountain biking enthusiasts of the first order, so they pack a couple of hours on the mountain into each day!

For those who may not be able to go out skiing or those who need to continue a special exercise program, the workout room includes everything required: free weights, cardio vascular equipment and a four station exercise machine, plus your choice of music.

Winter Deposit & Cancellation Information
50% of the lodging total is required to reserve a room. This amount may be put on a credit card; or if being done by check, an initial non-refundable deposit of $25 will hold the room for 10 days with the check due within 10 days. All deposits are applied to the lodging total.
Final balance may be paid on arrival. In order to receive a refund of deposited money, a confirmed reservation must be cancelled 45 days prior to arrival. A 10% handling fee will be retained on deposit refunds.
Late Arrivals
We like to know our guests estimated arrival time so that we can greet you. Or if you might be after 8-9pm, we’ll be sure you understand where we have your key and directions.
Chalet Montesano will be happy to arrange ski week packages and lift ticket packages in advance so your tickets will be available on the afternoon of your arrival! We are able to purchase all of the various types of weekly lift-and-lesson packages as well as multi-day lift tickets.
