Present species are: Cinnamon Teal, Green Teal, Blue Teal, Redhead, Canvasback, Wood Duck, Shoveler, Pintail, Gadwal, Whistling Tree Duck, Ruddy Duck. 3 day ALL INCLUSIVE hunts, 4 nights lodging double room (2 man – 2 beds) at ABE Hotel. All licenses and permits are included for hunting except for guns. If bringing your gun just provide us with your passport and all information regarding your gun, such as: serial #, manufacturer, model, etc; and we will get a permit for you (permit price $90.00). If not bringing your gun, a daily gun rent fee will be charged, we do have only pump action guns available for rent. ($30.00 a day) Hunting this Lagoon offers an experience unique to the highlands of central Mexico. Two thirds of the lagoon, situated at 8300 ft. above sea level, is covered with thick, tall bulrushes, interspersed with boat trails and small natural openings. Since the water is uniformly 2-3 feet deep throughout, travel is accomplished by long, narrow, bipointed skiffs poled by hand. Hunters are lined up about 40-50 meters apart along the trails all facing in the same direction. "Beaters" sent out in separate boats, one for each hunter, begin a noisy "drive" about 5-600 meters in front of the hunters and advance thru the reeds towards the hunters. The flushed birds fly out over the hunters, providing exciting and varied shooting. When the beaters arrive at the line of hunters, your guide will borrow the narrow, beaters boat and pole thru the reeds to retrieve your downed birds which he has carefully memorized the location of by a system of bent reeds pointed toward them. As noted Florida bird taxidermist and waterfowl hunter Tony Gilyard stated "This was the most interesting and unique duck hunt I have experienced. The ability of the guides to mark and retrieve birds under these conditions defies belief; truly a wonderful experience." Schedules: From November 1st 2009, through February 28th, 2010 Lodging, Meals, Transportation and Hunting Services are included in our packages. We are located at 1.30 hours driving from Mexico City's International Airport. Ducks in Tecocomulco Lake, Tulancingo: Hunting Days: Monday through Friday and Weekends are available Prices are per hunter, per package. Package includes: 3 day hunt, 4 nights lodging, all meals, dirnks (bottled water, beer and soft drinks), guides and your ground transportation from and to the airport. You'll need to fly to Benito Juarez International Airport in Mexico City. Here you will be picked up by members of our staff. Lodge: You will stay at Abe Hotel located in Tulancingo Downtown. It's our based hotel. You will be lodged at this nice and clean hotel. Accommodations are in double rooms, (two people 2 beds). Dates: Any day or weekends between November the 1st through end of February. If you are by yourself or in a group smaller than 6 people, then you will be added to an existing group, or until a group of 6 is filled. If you are 6 people group size or more (up to ten), then you choose dates at your convenience. If the dates of your choice have been previously booked, we will provide you with available dates.
