Welcome to an intimate country bed and breakfast hidden away from the road, yet within walking distance of the ocean and the historic Old Town district of Half Moon Bay, CA, renowned for its boutiques, galleries and restaurants. The Mill Rose Inn invites you to spend a night or weekend in the comfortable luxury of an English country garden by the sea. All the conveniences of a world class hotel and the charm and gracious services of a small country inn are beautifully combined here in this Four Diamond AAA Award winning inn.
Innkeepers Terry and Eve Baldwin
Terry and Eve moved to Half Moon Bay in 1970. With Eve’s background in interior and floral design and Terry’s background as a landscape contractor, they had a fantasy of creating a gracious Bed and Breakfast known for its beautiful gardens.
After years of renovating an early 1900’s cottage in the heart of Half Moon Bay, their dream became a reality when the Mill Rose Inn welcomed it’s first guests in 1982 as San Mateo County’s first Bed and Breakfast Inn.
Delight in spacious flower-filled rooms and suites. Take in the warmth of the afternoon sun from your window seat; curl up by the fireplace in your room, in the front parlor, or in the library. Mingle with other guests and enjoy the afternoon wine and cheese. Take a quiet moment to view the watercolors and fine European antiques that complement every room.
The innkeepers will make your dinner reservation, help you plan an outing, get you a picnic basket, and do evening turndowns. After dinner, indulge in tempting pastries and beverages, select a movie, or relax in the spa.
