Nearby attractions and activities:
If you like to walk, our Inn is ideally located (please see approximate distances to popular sites on the “Attractions” page). But if you want something else, the options are only limited by your imagination...
...By sea, cruise on the Charles River with the Duck Tours or ride in a gondola. Or you can catch a Boston Harbor tour, or continue out and explore one of the Harbor Islands itself. Closer by, you can ride a Swan Boat at the Public Gardens, or captain your own vessel on the Charles – either by sail, kayak paddle, or remote control (you can pilot a miniature sailboat in the weekly Esplanade races).
...By land, the Olde Town Trolley stops next door on historic Charles Street. You can also walk to the corner to rent a bike or catch a horse drawn carriage at the Boston Common. And if you like to jog, the Inn is just two minutes from the most popular jogging path in Boston: a 3-mile loop along the Charles River (over two bridges). This is also a great location for a picnic.
...By land at night, the Theater District is a short, safe walk with clubs and restaurants offering evening entertainments.
...And shopping? Charles Street is a shopping destination, particularly for unique boutiques and antiques, but we are only a ten minute walk East of fashionable Newbury Street, and the same distance West to bustling Downtown Crossing (home of the original Filene’s Basement). To the Southwest, it is not much farther to the Prudential and Copely Malls where hundreds of shops await.
