We are excited to offer the traveling sportsman or woman the opportunity to experience the native wilderness that makes up our natural outdoor playground. Besides quality big game trophy hunting we now cater for trout fishing anglers, white water rafting enthusiasts and avid equestrians.
Hunters Paradise is based on the East Coast of the North Island of New Zealand, known locally for its long hot summers, warm climate and gorgeous beaches. Most activities are conducted on the coast with the exception of some hunting for species only located on the South Island. The East Coast region has become synonymous with large free-range red deer and other big game. Many visiting hunters have enjoyed a New Zealand guided hunt with Hunters Paradise successfully shooting trophy animals.

Our core business has been guided hunting but can now offer guided fishing (sea, river & lake), rafting trips, horsetrekking and walking or hiking. We offer accommodation for those who want to get off the beaten track and visit some of the less populated areas. Enjoy staying in our comfortable lodges and enjoying home cooked meals accompanied with some of our finest New Zealand wines.
Our main hunting lodge is a short 2 hour drive from Christchurch International Airport and situated in the beautiful Rangitata Valley surrounded by the awe-inspiring Southern Alps. Scenes from the "Lord of the Rings" were filmed in the area.

HUNTING- We offer trophy game hunting for a variety of species combined with some excellent river and lake fishing in New Zealand. Hunting is carried out on private picturesque ranches with pasture divided by pine plantations, scrubland and native bush filled ravines. The ideal habitat for red deer. We have access to several ranches that farm sheep, cattle and deer.
FISHING - Local Guided Trips- the Canterbury region of the South Island of New Zealand has many spectacular and world renowned fly fishing rivers. Clients need only to travel short distances to reach these waters ways where a half-day, full day or optional overnight fishing stay for rainbow, brown trout and Chinook Salmon.
Remote Guided Trips- There is nothing more relaxing than getting away from the normal working routine, being camped close to a river, being able to fish from dawn to dark, roughing it a little and having someone else cook for you.
HORSETREKKING- Enjoy a 2hr or full day ride over New Zealand farmland. Several locations to choose from.
RIVER RAFTING- Enjoy the wilderness of the New Zealand's Outback while floating some of more picturesque rivers. Hunting and fishing from a raft allows access into those hard to reach spots giving you the opportunity to stop and fish those pools others can't get to, or hunt he gullies too hard to reach from the average foot hunter.
