M13274 is the only 4-star hotel or resort in the region. It opened 1999. It is part of the Icelandair chain. All of our 27 well-furnished rooms have private facilities. We are located one hour east of Reykjavik in the middle of South Iceland right on Icelands most productive salmon river (The Eystri Ranga River with well over 3.000 fish landed 2004 - #1 in Iceland I might add!!). We can arrange fishing licenses in many of the nearby lakes and rivers (it is however essential to book in due time as demand often is higher than supply - especially regarding salmon).
The very well-known and beautiful 18-hole golf course Strandvollur lies just 1-2 minutes away by car. We also help our guests arrange horse riding tours, super jeep tours, glacier tours, tours to the Westman Island (bird-watching, whale watching, volcano tour, deep-sea fishing), highland tours (hiking up Mt Hekla or into Thorsmork), river rafting, flight trips (plane or helicopter). We can also advise all of our guests about other activities (hiking, sightseeing, cultural activities, museums and landmarks) that this very interesting region has to offer.
