Uepi is suitable for soft and advanced adventure travellers of all ages, who enjoy seeing and experiencing life in its real, non enhanced format. Uepi Island is located as a barrier reef island on the edge of the Marovo Lagoon. One side of the island is fringed with sandy beaches lapped by clear lagoon waters, whilst the other side has a wall of uplifted volcanic rock encrusted with corals.
Because of its location Uepi Island Resort can offer action packed, stress free holidays. The world class house reef is only minutes from the accommodation, providing a venue for unlimited free snorkelling, safely catering for guests of all levels of experience. Other snorkelling venues are just a short boat ride or extended walk away. Scuba diving is fully catered for with SSI resort to Dive Master courses available, as well as shore, boat expedition and night diving sites.
Uepi accommodation is bungalow style, 6 detached dwellings, 2 semi detached units and 2 semi-detached guest rooms. The maximum number of beds is 32, however 20 guests is considered a full house. Four bungalows are absolute beachfront, two bungalows are set back a few metres in the gardens and the semi-detached accommodations have excellent views of the lagoon. All accommodations are within immediate walking distance from the sandy beaches and the fringing reef areas.
Property amenities:
One of the attractions of Uepi is the small number of guests sharing this beautiful island. Although there are 32 beds, approximately 20 guests is considered to be a full house. There are six spacious, well appointed bungalows for families or couples, two units and two new guestrooms. All rooms have private bathroom/toilet facilities All accommodation is screened and all bedrooms have fans.
BUNGALOWS - There are six timber bungalows set in tropical gardens. Four of these are on the beachfront of the lagoon. Two are set back a little with their own garden views, but there is still easy access to the beach. The garden bungalows have excellent access to snorkelling and a picnic area. All bungalows have a king size bed and a double bunk, tea and coffee making facilities, fridge, separate shower and toilet, luggage rack and clothing storage space. There are easy chairs and a coffee table inside the bungalows for your comfort. The verandah has its own outdoor furniture.
DUAL UNITS: (known as 8A & 8B) - The 2 new units share a common wall but are completely private in all other respects. Each unit has one open space room, a bathroom and separate toilet. In the large room is a sleeping area with either a king size bed or two singles depending if the requirement is for single, twin or double occupancy.
Along one wall is a wet area including a sink, tea & coffee making facilities and a bench. There is also a luggage rack and a clothing storage space. Cane chairs and a small table completes these self contained, airy units. The windows are louvres to allow maximum airflow and they are covered with Austrian blinds to provide privacy at night.
An overhead fan is positioned to allow continuous airflow. The units are situated on a raised area close to the beach (but not beachfront) which affords an excellent view of the Marovo Lagoon. An outside shaded decking area provides another space for storage or living.
GUEST ROOMS - 7A/7B are 2 accommodation units sharing a common wall. 7A is as large as a bungalow, with ensuite shower & separate toilet. It has a spacious kitchenette area (refrigerator, sink, tea/coffee making facilities), a King Size bed and a deck out from the front door. It is not beachfront but has excellent views over the Marovo. Because it is on a slight rise it gets very good breezes & the cross ventilation makes it a cool room. It has an overhead fan. An extra bed can easily be put in this room.
7B is a smaller room with ensuite shower/toilet. Its entrance opens onto a deck but is private from 7A entrance. Currently has a double bed and a single bed. It has an overhead fan and also has good breezes and a beautiful view. It has a small tea/coffee area but no sink. There is a hand basin in the bathroom.
This complex is perfect for a family, where the parents want some privacy but want to be near their children.
