Welcome to Gangler’s Fly-In Fishing Lodges. Established in 1985, Gangler’s has long been recognized as the benchmark for extraordinary Canadian fishing trips. Gangler’s North Seal River Lodge and outposts were opened in 1998 and is the third lodge / fishery we have developed in our 20 years. We already had developed two very successful lodges and could have easily have stayed where we were. However, the North Seal was an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity simply too special to pass up.
The North Seal River area was the last undeveloped Canadian fishery below the treeline, almost 200 miles from the closest road. There are no other lodges in this area, no roads, and no commercial fishing. Our exclusive allocation stretches over 7200 sq. miles, a unique area where 12 river systems merge to form over 100 lakes and merge with one of Canada’s greatest rivers, the North Seal. The fishery is truly special - offering Canada’s finest opportunity to enjoy trophy fishing for the Canadian Grand Slam (northern pike, lake trout, walleye, and arctic grayling) in one setting. The waters are comfortable and diverse, ranging in size from 6 to over 20 miles long, offering protected water with no long boat rides.

Situated on Egenolf Lake, the lodge offers guests a gateway to vast, unexplored areas of northern Manitoba’s historic North Seal River, which is the junction for over a dozen rivers and tributaries. This network of water forms dozens of lakes offering an incredible variery of fish habitat. Huge pike, lake trout up to 40 lbs., and Manitoba’s largest Arctic Grayling thrive here. It is also the northern most boundary for walleye with none recorded north of here.
Egenolf Lake serves as your base to explore this region. Enjoy Egenolf one day, try one of our surrounding close-by portage lakes or sample a fly-out lake. Your fishing possibilities are endless! North Seal River Lodge delivers the ultimate blend of Canadian sport fishing with a splash of luxury. After landing on our 5400" private runway, guests at the lodge will enjoy gourmet meals set in our dining area for 24 guests, a full service bar, and plush lounge areas highlighted by a majestic stone fireplace. The Lodge’s wall-sized map of the region help guests plan the next day’s adventure.
The guest cabins include all carpeted separate living areas, loveseat and sofas, separate bedrooms with hotel style beds and linen, modern bathrooms in each bedroom, personal VCRs for watching that day’s fishing action or the latest movie release from our lodge video library. Or just relax in your cabin’s screened-in porch overlooking Egenolf Lake. All porches are equipped with rod holders to store your equipment for the next day’s action.
