LODGE- our fully remodeled 2500 sq foot Manitoba fishing lodge has everything you will need. Relax and enjoy delicious hor douvres and a cocktail while swapping the day’s fishing stories in our uniquely decorated 46 person fully licensed dinning room, or enjoy the evening sunset while sitting on our three level deck overlooking the water and serene beauty of the north. While you wait for your hearty homestyle meal, take a walk around our full line convenience store that hosts a complete stock of all your fishing tackle and bait supplies. For your convenience our Registration Office has internet access. Telephones are accessible from 2 outdoor phone booths and from the main lodge and lodge registration office. We provide you with the finest amenities and we treat each and every one as if you were a part of our own family.
CABINS- at BNL we take pride in our quality and service and are confident that our cabins will truly exceed everyone’s expectations. We feature 15 fully modernized two bedroom log cabins. One room hosts a double bed and the other has two single beds. All cabins have modern bathroom facilities and hot showers. Each cabin has the following amenities. T.V/VCR or Satellite, mini fridge, coffee maker, alarm clocks, full linen with light housekeeping, each with a very private covered porch and fire pit for your leisure. "Posturepedic mattreses", carpet, drapery, bedding, linen, furnishings.

For those interested in fishing – we have world class fishing year round. Whether you come in summer to catch the monster Northern Pike, awesome Walleye, huge Lake Trout, Master Angler Smallmouth Bass or Rainbow or Brown Trout, we can show you how and where to catch your favorite species. Our guides are excellent fisherman, and great cooks too! They prepare a satisfying shore lunch from your morning’s catch, take care of all the details regarding the driving of the boat and assist with netting your catch. It is truly a memorable day in Canada’s beautiful Northern Wilderness. In winter, we offer ice fishing, snowmobiling, bombardier rides, cross country skiing and dog sledding. We’ll customize a package to your interests and give you a great winter getaway!

Day 1: Arrive from Winnipeg late in afternoon. Check in to Bakers Narrows Lodge’s deluxe log cabins. Enjoy a sumptuous dinner after which a local historian gives a slide presentation on the history of Flin Flon. Watch for the Aurora from the spacious deck just off the dining room, or from the large hot tub. Look for constellations using the telescope on the deck.
Day 2: After a hearty breakfast we travel to Flin Flon to view the Museum. It is housed in a former Canadian National Railway building. The Museum contains artifacts collected from mining, transportation and cultural sources, including a diving suit and helmet, a Linn tractor used in early freight hauls and a train sweeper and ore car. Also on display is a 63lb trout caught on Lake Athapapuskow. We return to the lodge for lunch, after which you may take a boat tour of the area or an optional aerial tour on one of Bakers Narrows Lodge’s float planes. You may want to go for a walk up the stairs at Bakers Narrows Provincial Park for a panoramic view of the area. We’ll enjoy dinner at the Lodge, after which we will be treated to a Cultural Arts Demonstration – Caribou Hair Tufting. You will be given the opportunity to try your hand at Caribou Hair Tufting, guided patiently by Theresa Wride, a local lady who does some beautiful work. While we work on our projects, we’ll keep our eyes open to make sure we see the Aurora when they occur.
Day 3: After breakfast you’ll have the opportunity to try your hand at fishing. Depending upon the time of year that you come, Lake Athapapuskow with provide you with the excitement of catching a Lake Trout, a Northern Pike or Walleye. You might even be able to boast of achieving Master Angler status. Our guides cook you a tasty lunch in the wilderness. Later we’ll travel to Northern Buffalo Sculptures where we’ll meet internationally known sculptor, Irvin Head. Irvin’s work won accolades as the people’s choice, when on display at the Winnipeg Art Gallery, and has taken him to Japan and Switzerland where his work was greatly admired. He works with stone, bone, and wood to make outstanding carvings, one of which you just may have to take home. We’ll travel back to the lodge for dinner where we’ll later have the opportunity again to view the Aurora Borealis and enjoy a reading by a local author about his adventures on his trap line.
Day 4: Those who opt for the 4-Day tour will enjoy a trip to visit a local dog sled enthusiast who will take individuals for a ride behind his team (during the winter). These dogs love to run and will take you on the ride of your life! Anytime you visit this area you will be treated to some wildlife viewing. Whether it’s otters playing under the bridge, a cross fox on its nightly run, or eagles, loons, or blue herons flying by, or possibly a moose or bear trudging through the area. We’re in the Canadian Shield, a beautiful area with lots of rocks, spruce and water – a wonderful retreat from the busyness of life.
