Alaska’s Legend Lodge is located 250 miles Southwest of Anchorage on the Alaskan Peninsula in the world famous Bristol Bay Fishery. Each year millions of Salmon migrate up the rivers to spawn and die. Their eggs are deposited in the gravel river beds to begin a new life cycle. This provides fishermen with an incredible opportunity to fish not only for Salmon but also for the hordes of other species of fish which depend on their rich bounty of eggs and carcasses.
Legend Lodge specializes in fly fishing for trophy Rainbow Trout, Silver Rainbows, Silver Salmon, Sockeye Salmon, King Salmon, Char, Northern Pike, & Grayling in waters far away from the crowds of anglers that now populate some of Alaska’s other fisheries.
Legend lodge is please to offer cast and blast vacations in September. Hunting for ducks, ptarmigan and spruce grouse is available at no extra cost during the fall season. Ducks are hunted with decoys and a retriever dog over wild rice fields. Ptarmigan are hunted on the tundra. Spruce grouse are also found in the Intricate Bay area. There is little or no pressure on these birds and you will experience some exceptional hunting. Bring a 12 gauge shotgun. We do have additional guns available if needed.

Guests will be welcomed into their own newly built cabin. Each guest room has twin beds which can be converted to a queen if desired. Fishing gear will be stored in the attached screened in porch.
Lodge meals are taken family style in our dining room overlooking beautiful Intricate Bay. Dinner fare includes Salmon, Halibut, steak and other seasonal specialties plus our homemade baked goods and dessert. A hearty breakfast of pancakes, sausage, eggs, bacon, cereal and other foods will be served before our daily fishing excursions. Shore lunch includes sandwiches, snacks, sweets, fruit and your choice of beverage. Grilled salmon will be prepared during the salmon run.

Alaska’s Legend Lodge is in Intricate Bay in the southeast portion of 90 mile-long Lake Iliamna, the largest lake in Alaska. Nearby rivers offered us some of the world’s best fishing for huge rainbow trout. We also enjoyed superb fishing for sockeye salmon and Arctic char during a trip late last August. And fly-out day trips took us to trophy lake trout, grayling, and pike.
Legend Lodge offers the option to fish nearby rivers. You’re never limited to one river when the bite goes bad, and you don’t have to contend with competition, except from the occasional bear bent on a meal of salmon. Lake Iliamna hosts a rare population of freshwater seals, which are fun to watch. The scenery’s incredible, the lodging’s comfortable, and the meals superb.

Our GOLD package includes 2 fly-outs which will vary during the season depending on fishing reports and species available. They include king and silver salmon, pike and rainbow trout. King salmon late June through mid July and silver salmon mid August through September. Rivers include Lower Talarik, Moraine, Nushagak and other Western Coastal rivers of the Cook Inlet. In addition to these fly-outs you will be fishing our home rivers of the Copper and Gibraltar as well as another local stream. The Copper River is listed in Trout Unlimited's book of the "100 best Trophy Trout Rivers in North America" This is an opportunity of a lifetime to fish some of the world's most exciting and prolific waters. Additional fly-outs can be arranged in advance or during your stay.
