In the shark tunnel below the shark tank you will get really close to a variety of tropical sharks, rays, and exotic fish. But the Kattegat Centre is much more - in the big Oceanarium you have the entire Kattegat within your field of vision and a Lagoon with the seals: Sally, Molly and Nelly is right outside.

The two Asian gibbon apes are thriving in Randers Rainforest; their fantastic singing only confirms that they are enjoying each other’s company. If you want to get an idea of the world beneath the surface of the sea, you simply must visit the Kattegat Centre in Grenaa. This fascinating activity centre on the shore of Kattegat is inhabited by local as well as more exotic species of marine life. They have anything from seals to rays, not to mention the 2.5 metres large sharks - definitely an experience out of the ordinary.

Scandinavian Wildlife Park near Tirstrup is home to bears and wolves. You can visit the wolves’ enclosure by means of the longest wooden walkway in Denmark, spanning the Nordic wilderness - 200 metres of intense excitement. We have a total of 300 animals of 20 different Nordic species. Arctic fox and red deer in the open meadowland. Moose, fox and roe deer in the woodland. Snakes in the marshland. And then, of course, there are the reindeer and the fallow deer that like to be stroked. Why not bring your picnic basket when you visit the park.

In 1960 the ’Jylland’ was tugged from the Naval Dockyard in Copenhagen to Ebeltoft and on August 11th in 1984 she made her last journey on her own keel to the new exhibition dock. Today it has been fully restored with full rigging.The 2450-ton frigate ’Jylland’ was built at the Royal Danish Naval Dockyard in Copenhagen and launched in 1860. It was the last large war vessel of the Danish Navy to be built of oak entirely. The ’Jylland’ had an engine as well as sails. The sails spread was 17,100 square feet (1881 m2) and the height from the waterline to the top of the main mast was 55 m. The hull is 71 m long and has a draught of 6 m. The ornament consisted of 44 heavy muzzle-loaded guns
