Just two and a half miles from San Ignacio in western Belize, M13763 is located in the small village of Bullet Tree Falls at the base of the Maya Mountains. Set apart from the village on a peninsula of the Mopan River, M13763 is blessed with cool river breezes and a jungle setting as well as the proximity to San Ignacio – its shops, restaurants, and nightlife.
Cohune Palms features a private restaurant with outdoor dining and newly constructed cabanas overlooking the sleepy Mopan River below. Our cabanas are fully finished, screened (although we are blessed with a practically mosquito-free spot) with private bathrooms, electricity, strong ceiling fans, hot water, high thatched roofs, and verandahs.
While resting in one of the hammocks, swimming, jumping off the rope swing or watching iguanas is always tempting; most are here for the great many adventures waiting to be had in the area. M13763 is an excellent base for all of the adventure tours and trips in western Belize. All tours in the area pick up right from Cohune Palms. We also feature yoga retreats - in 2008 we will be having two with Lauren Toolin of the Metta Center in Northhampton, Massachussetts. This will be in the last week of February and the first week of March.
We have also just added High Speed Internet (but you should relax!). We have a computer available for use free of charge and are wireless for those of you who prefer to sit in your hammock while surfing the net.

Situated in the village of Bullet Tree Falls, M13763 is directly on the Mopan river and just 7 miles from the El Pilar Archaeological Reserve in the Maya Mountains. Guests enjoy biking, tubing, canoeing, walking the Mayan medicinal trail, and visiting archaeological sites. From here, day trips can be arranged to visit Mountain Pine Ridge area, go cave-tubing and ziplining, hike through the famous cave of Actun Tunichil Muknal and even visit Tikal.

Policy:
Our payment and cancellation policies are as follows. For reservations made prior to 60 days from arrival date, an initial non-refundable deposit equivalent to one night’s stay plus tax secures the reservation. The full room balance (including tax and transaction fee) is expected anytime prior to 60 days from arrival date. In the event of a cancellation prior to 60 days from arrival date no charges will be incurred (except for the initial deposit). For reservations cancelled within 60 -30 days of arrival date 50% of the remaining balance will be refunded. Reservations cancelled within 30 days of arrival date are not refundable.
