Crescent Lake Lodge is an Alaska Hunting & Fishing Guide Service and Outdoor Recreation Resort. Crescent Lake itself is a short portage from the east bank of the Holitna River, with boats moored on both the lake and river.
Our hunting camps are located in remote areas that are selected for the abundance of the types of game to be hunted. Since, like you, we love hunting, we will do our best to ensure success on your hunts so you’ll have memories to last a lifetime. Hunting in Alaska can be more challenging than hunting in other parts of the world due to its remoteness, topography and unpredictable weather. Alaska hunting includes moose, caribou, brown bear, black bear, wolf, wolverine and dall sheep hunting.
The Holitna River is a remote river system in western interior Alaska. Although this system receives little attention, it supports one of the most productive fisheries in the entire region. The Holitna and its headwater tributaries, the Chukowan and Kogrukluk Rivers and Shotgun Creek, drain the Kuskokwim Mountains, Shotgun Hills and parts of the Nushagak Hills and Taylor Mountains. Alaska fishing includes ten species of fish, five salmon and five fresh water species.
Property amenities:
The lodge is situated on a hill above a lake from where you can see the Choctaw Mountains 15 miles to the west. You will be staying in a cabin near the main lodge where you will take your meals.
In spike camps we provide tents, cots, food and your guide will do the cooking. When at the lodge you will be provided homestyle meals, comfortable sleeping quarters and showers. Each camp is provided with a high frequency radio to provide communication with the lodge and for emergencies and re-supply.
