Silverpine Lodge is a small exclusive luxury lodge set in the midst of the best fly fishing rivers in the south island of New Zealand. Located near Wanaka, away from Queenstown and en route to the Haast Pass, Silverpine lodge is perfect luxury accommodation for a fly fishing trip, game hunting by helicopter, heliskiing trips, walking in the Siberia Valley, or just relaxation in New Zealand’s Southern Alps. The lodge is made of earth, stone, and native New Zealand timber. Surrounded by uninterrupted views of stunning New Zealand scenery, Silverpine offers an elegant luxurious outdoor experience indoors. Silverpine Lodge is everything you hope New Zealand will be.

FISHING - The Lodge property extends to the shingle beaches of Lake Hawea. Its gin clear waters are the territory for cruising brown trout, rainbows, and landlocked salmon. The best most productive option at Silverpine lodge is heli-fishing. The lake is fed by three legendary freestone rivers - the Hunter, the Dingle, and Timaru Creek. These icons are best helifished with a professional guide. Fifteen minutes after finishing breakfast, a helicopter will land you in splendid isolation of a backcountry valley - just you, your guide, trout, and the day ahead in the Southern Alps. Exult in sight casting to speckled monsters, catch, photograph, and release them. Other equally famous rivers abound within a 10 minute helicopter flight, including the Wilkin, Makarora, Young, Lindis, and Ahuriri Rivers. At the end of the day, fly home to sit in front of the fire and relive it.

HUNTING - Silverpine Lodge is situated in the epicentre of their habitat. Fallow deer, wild boar, feral goats, pheasant, quail, rabbits, hare, and Canadian geese have also established themselves in the South Island of New Zealand. Surrounded by High Country Stations and National Parks full of game hunting, the lodge is the perfect base camp for the hunter. Heli-hunting with a professional guide will give you the best chance of securing your trophy. It will allow you to make the best use of your valuable holiday time. We arrange hunts for all species. The prime season is the southern autumn: March through May.
