Built in 2003, our new hunting lodge features deluxe accommodations for up to 10 people, complete with five bedrooms, a beautiful kitchen and dining area, and a hot tub area. You will find all the modern amenities you will need here, and the comfort and charm of the decor will ensure a very pleasurable stay. Along with the great Nebraska upland bird hunting, we now have the lodging facilities to offer the total all-inclusive hunting package. Much planning and thought was put into the design of our new hunting lodge. Rich hardwood floors and cabinets, stainless steel kitchen appliances, the old-world charm of the bedrooms, and the large and ever so-invigorating hot tub are just some of the features of our new hunting lodge. As these pictures illustrate, our goal was to provide you the ultimate upland bird hunt and lodging accommodations, and we have succeeded at doing that!
Kitchen: The kitchen is setup in a manner that a large group will be able to be accommodated for all meals, with ample storage, preparation and cooking spaces. You will feel as if you are at a fine dining establishment, yet no tie is needed here and you will be encouraged to take your shoes off, enjoy your favorite beverages and meals, and to sit back and revisit the days hunt and accomplishments. After your fill of outstanding food, enjoy a visit to our new hot tub!
Hot Tub: The hot tub is located off the back deck, where up to six people can comfortably enjoy the invigorating water under the vast Nebraska sky-whether it is under one of the many breathtaking sunsets, or under the ink-black sky that is illuminated by the billions of stars at night. There is nothing more enjoyable after a great day of Nebraska upland bird hunting than enjoying a fine meal with hunting buddies and topping off another perfect day with a visit to our hot tub!
Bedrooms: Each of the five bedrooms is furnished with a queen size bed, complete with clean, warm bedding and quilts. Each bedroom has a dresser for personal items that you may not wish to store in your suitcase. Also, each bedroom is in close proximity to a full bath for your convenience. As you can see, we have tried to provide every comfort you would have at home to ensure a memorable stay with us!

Our lodging and amenities are first class. We can accommodate 10 hunters with double occupancy in the main lodge. Meals are country gourmet prepared fresh for each meal.

- Cabela's (World's Foremost Outfitter) renowned showroom in Sidney, NE is 100 miles to the west. Ole's Big Game Steakhouse & Lounge – "Nebraska's most Famous Watering Hole" – with hundreds of game mounts bagged by Ole Herstedt on display in Paxton, NE is 12 miles to the west.
- North Platte is home to the famous Buffalo Bill's Scout Rest Ranch (home of Buffalo Bill Cody). Other popular attractions include North Platte Canteen Display, Lincoln County Historical Museum and the Cody Park Railroad Museum. The Union Pacific Bailey Railroad Yard is the world's largest reclassification yard where 3,000 rail cars are sorted everyday. North Platte is located 20 miles to the east.
- Ogallala attractions include Boot Hill, the Petrified Wood Gallery, Bald Eagle Viewing Center, Front Street/Cowboy Museum and Lake McConaughy (Nebraska’s largest reservoir). Ogallala is located 30 miles to the west.
- Sutherland attractions include the Oregon Trail Golf Course, boating and fishing on Sutherland Reservoir, and Prairie Sands Hunting.
- From shopping, antique hunting or visiting the attractions mentioned above there are plenty of activities to keep family members busy while you are hunting at Prairie Sands. Go ahead and bring the family!
Policy:
- Hunt reservations may be rescheduled to an available date with 45 day notice.
- Hunts may be transferred to another party.
- Cancelled hunts will forfeit their 50% deposit, as this is required to cover our expenses (birds, food, guides and planning costs).

- Transportation to and from all hunting sites.
- All birds cleaned and packaged for transportation.
- Professional guides and dogs provided.
- Free hunting license for out of state guest.
- Infield snacks and refreshments.
- Family members can hunt for the same price, if no additional birds are released.
