Historic Oatlands boasts the largest collection of colonial sandstone buildings in a village environment in Australia and was originally developed to manage convicts between Launceston and Hobart.
The unit has two bedrooms, large bathroom, open plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, with a lovely stone courtyard garden. Television with complimentary in-house videos and full breakfast provisions/utensils are provided, so you can cook yourself bacon and eggs for a country breakfast. There is a laundromat at the front and safe 2 car parking at the rear.

The Oatlands Tourist Information Centre has do-it-yourself tours of this historic town and attractions including the oldest working mill in the Southern Hemisphere. You can also visit Casaveen, famous for locally made jumpers and factory tours. Colonial sandstone buildings are now interesting shops including antique, candy, bakeries and craft, and trout have been stocked in the small part of Lake Dulverton, all within walking distance. Just a 30 minute drive takes you to the highland lakes.
