Bird Watching:
Panama is a bird watcher's haven, there's over 929 bird species in Panama, and over 500 of these can be found in the Chiriqui province! Birding is good year round. Migrants from the north generally arrive in September and October and depart late April.
Whitewater Rafting:
Whitewater Rafting on the Chiriqui River or the Chiriqui Viejo River depending on the season are available from the Chiriqui River Rafting or Aventuras Panama, two very safety conscious operators with equipment that meets US standards. Depending on the season and river you choose to raft, you will encounter Class II to IV rapids. Unspoiled, pristine, no crowds!
Volcan Baru National Park:
This park covers 14,000 hectares (34,594.6 acres) of the imposing 3,475 meter (11,400 feet) high Baru Volcano Massif, the highest point in the Republic of Panama. The rough topography and the climatic variations in the park give rise to a great variety of life zones. Enormous oak trees predominate in the forest canopy on the sides of the massif.

A one night deposit is required to reserve your room, refundable only if you cancel ten days prior to your scheduled visit. Refunds are subject to a $20.00 cancellation fee. This deposit payment can be made by check or by credit card authorization on MasterCard or VISA.
Full payment in advance may be necessary for certain special weekends.

The guest rooms are named after the Indian tribes of Panama. Each of the 4 spacious bedrooms is individually and tastefully furnished and decorated with local Indian arts and crafts and the beds all have coordinating comforters and dust ruffles. Many unusual and creative designs beckon you to forget any problems or cares you may have and enjoy your stay. All beds have comfortable firm mattresses in queen or king size. Two of the rooms are furnished with a king size bed which can be converted into two twin beds upon request. Each room has natural lighting and lamps for reading. A private heated bathroom with bathtub and hot water are provided in all rooms.
The very spacious Ngobe-Bugle Room with views of the orchard and garden, has a King size bed (can be converted into two single beds if requested) and a twin day bed. Occupancy can be single, double or triple. This room has a wet bar equipped with a sink, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.
