Alaska fishing at one of Alaska's finest fishing lodges, located above Kachemak Bay in Homer, Alaska. Homer is the Halibut fishing capital of the world. A normal day of fishing will include a limit of Halibut and quite often Salmon as well. King Salmon are in these waters year round, Silver, Red, Pink, and Chum are found during summer months. Plan your arrival at Emerald Pines Lodge Sunday afternoon and we'll fish for Halibut and Salmon and enjoy the beauty of the Homer area until your departure Saturday morning. Bring plenty of film, the scenery and wild life are about as good as it gets anyplace on the planet.

We are a small full service lodge, just the right size for families and small groups, no big crowds here. Your captain is a thirty six year Alaskan resident and carries a U.S.C.G Masters license. Fishing is not just about Halibut and Salmon, we also offer the best in Rainbow, Steelhead, and Char fishing. We use only tournament quality gear weather fishing for Halibut, Kings, Rainbow Trout or Steelhead. We furnish everything except your personal items, and lest I forget our Chefette Roma never lets you leave the table hungry, wait till you see the table she sets. So please join us for Alaska fishing at it's best, Halibut, Salmon, Steelhead, Rainbow and Char.

Sometimes our trails lead to unexpected treasure…if you are a seeker of new adventure come and experience the treasures and beauty of Homer and its splendid Emerald Pines Lodge. A more beautiful place does not exist, nor will you find better fishing or abundance of wildlife.

Property amenities:
Emerald Pines Lodge offers modern comforts along with a breathtaking view of Kachemak Bay. Throughout the lodge you’ll find many cozy comforts and plenty of room to roam the heavily wooded grounds with an abundance of wild flowers. Our lodge has been a popular calving spot for moose over the years so be prepared for a treat. We offer a hot tub with a view and a great selection of videos and we even have satellite TV in this remote corner of the world.

Our guest lodge contains 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen, dining and living area for up to four guests with a scenic deck. The second lodge is one bedroom with 2 beds, bath, kitchen, dining and living room, and private deck with hot tub.

Nearby attractions and activities:
All activities whether fishing, bear viewing, whale watching or exploring the backcountry are all guided and your guide and host has over 35 years of Alaskan experience. When venturing out on the water your vessel, Cruiser VI, carries a Coast Guards Five Star Safety Rating and your captain has a U.S. Coast Guard masters license. Cruiser VI is a fully contained off shore twin - Yanmar Diesel vessel, your safety and comfort is paramount.

Enjoy your nights in comfort at the Emerald Pines Lodge and feast on fine home cooking! Three meals a day. Fish for Pacific halibut in the "Halibut Fishing Capital of the World. Homer offers some of the best salmon fishing-king, silver, red, pinks and chum.

Even though fishing is our main interest, we do much more, just to name a few of the other activities that go on at Emerald Pines Lodge; Fly by float plane to remote areas to fish streams, view bears feeding on salmon, or just enjoy the thrill of flight seeing. Be treated to fresh steamer clams that you can dig yourself, feast on Kachemak Bay oysters, if you are an oyster lover. And every day we are on the lookout for the numerous kinds of wildlife that abound in our area.

Don't worry about what to bring. We furnish everything except your warm clothing and personal items. We have boots, rain gear, fishing gear, and of course the guides for all excursions. We even take care of your fish packaging and freezing.
