Guests are free to explore the property, and a short walk down a private road takes them to the waters edge where canoes and a dinghy are available for their use.

* The river at high tide is an ideal sailing or canoeing venue.
* Generous lawns surround the house for outdoor activities such as petanque and volleyball. There is a nearby golf course and tennis court at Omaha beach.
* Visit Goat Island Marine Reserve, and feed the fish, or Tawharanui Regional Park. Historic Kawau Island is worth a visit. Picnic on historic Kawau Island and visit Mansion House.
* There is horse riding at Pakiri beach or surfing at the many local beaches.
