At Rock Pools we have 9 large cottages under canvas, tucked along the edge of the beautiful Nsubeni Stream, fully furnished in an African Colonial style, with brass and wrought iron twin-beds, old Oregon furniture and decorated in shades of stone, navy, hunters green and maroon.
M11436 combines attentive personal service with luxury and charm. On warm and sunny mornings, breakfasts are served on the patio. Guests may relax around the sparkling pool, with its stunning view or participate in the many possible activities on offer from the Lodge. The gentle candlelight, silver and crystal in the elegant dining room, furnished in Stinkwood, compliments the exquisitely presented cuisine. The cozy lounge, with it's crackling log fire in winter is the gathering point for a pre-dinner drinks. The nine en-suite bedrooms are tastefully appointed. Anticipating our guests every need.
Property amenities:
Each cottage has its own bathroom on-suite with fully tiled hot/cold water shower, flush toilet and a pretty wash-basin. Electricity to each of our canvas cottages allows use of a fan and a heater and a tea and coffee station complete the picture.
Nearby attractions and activities:
1. Wonderful Walks that have been clearly marked and are carefully graded for choice of time and effort involved, taking you through the beautiful country side were our impala and zebra are found, either guided or self-guided, with a fully documented handbook.
2. Landrover Drivers on our 8000 acre Private Nature Reserve, when available - normally daily.
3. Birdwatching in the beautiful natural indigenous garden, down at the river or on the mountainsides and bushveld. Bird list are supplied. Over 250 species commonly seen including many raptors.
4. Hiking through our own little 'Babanango Berg' up to the more challenging mountain-tops!
5. A detailed Lodge Garden Trail with handbook indicating the numerous marked indigenous plants and trees found in the Garden with interesting information about how they are used for medicinal and cultural uses.
6. The perfect destination for Children! Enjoy the swings, sandpit, trampoline, pool, farmyard with animals and farmyard activities and
extensive obstacle/commando course.
