We are located in a picture perfect setting on the Deschutes River. Excellence is our trademark. You will enjoy your stay in one of our uniquely decorated theme rooms of Oregon. After an exciting day of whitewater rafting or world famous fly-fishing, you will experience our incredible Imperial Desert Cuisine in our restaurant.
Fishing - veterans of the Deschutes will tell you that the river is an incredible year-round fishery. They will also tell you that it is a very technical river to fish, and unless you have Deschutes experience, the fishing will be great. Bird Hunting- there are many preserves in the area that offer fantastic bird hunting. From released birds to wild hunting it can all be found within a 20 minute drive of the Lodge in Maupin.

During your stay at Imperial River Co., enjoy your uniquely decorated theme room of Oregon. Most of our rooms have two beds or more, are well-appointed and spotlessly clean. Choose a river view room with a balcony and a jet tub, or perhaps choose one of our ground level rooms for easy access to and from the Deschutes. None of our rooms have televisions or phones to interrupt your relaxation, but satellite TV and games are available in the library corner of the dining room. The 14 rooms have A/C and you’ll also find a log book that many guests have written in.

The Deschutes and its surrounding area offer many outdoor activities for you to enjoy. Anglers from around the world cast their luck in the river year round for Steelhead and trout. In the warm summer months, we offer exciting, unforgettable guided rafting trips. Many other adventures you can have include: hiking to waterfalls, hunting for pheasant and chukar, cycling down the Deschutes, walking through a ghost town, snow skiing on Mt. Hood, hunting for big game or driving on scenic routes of the pioneers.

Interested in having the river all to yourself? This is the trip for you. While most people put in at busy Harpham Flat in the morning, we start this run in Maupin at our private dock. Float through rapids like Surf City and Oak Springs to take-out at Sandy Beach for a portage around Sherar's Falls. Then continue on through Wreck Rapids to take-out at Pine Tree. Shuttle bus back to the Lodge for the included catered lunch on our riverfront grounds. Then once you have rested, we go upriver to Harpham Flat, which is uncrowded in the afternoon, and float through big name rapids like Wapinitia and Boxcar on our way back to the Lodge. A full day of fun for anyone!
13 MILE- Half Day Adventure.
Check in 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM or 2:30 PM, Trip Length 3.5 hours.

Looking for a half day adventure for the family? For those who want a good taste of the river in a short amount of time, we offer three different start times to work with any schedule. This 13 mile run has all of the big name rapids. Meet us right at the Lodge in Maupin where we will get geared up to go to the put in. We put in at Harpham flat to run Wapinitia and Boxcar before passing through Maupin. Then we float on downriver to run Surf City, Oak Springs and White River rapids just to name some of the goodies. The shuttle bus picks us up at Sandy Beach and returns to the Lodge.
8 MILE- Short Deschutes Experience
Check in 3:30 PM, Trip Length 2 hours.

If you hit Maupin in the afternoon and think you've missed all the day trips on the Deschutes, we have a trip for you. Put in at our private launch, float through Oak Springs, take out at Sandy Beach and shuttle bus back to the lodge.
