M12102 is located high in the mountains, only a 25 minute drive from Port Douglas, North Queensland, gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. Stated by the National Geographic Society as being one of the top 4 climates in the world, rarely does it get over 30 degrees Celsius in the summer and our humidity is considerably lower than the coast. The Retreat also offers pampering from our Red Lily Day Spa, where you can choose from treatments such as a delicious body scrub made with fresh ingredients, earthy mud treatments or heavenly massage. The Retreat covers 25 acres of wet tropical forest, rainforest, open grassland and fruit orchards. A leisurely stroll will take you down to the beautiful Euluma Creek with its many cascades and swimming holes.
The retreat is a haven for wildlife and is a birdwatcher’s paradise. Wander the property to see many species of birds such as Yellow - Bellied Sunbird, Wompoo Fruit Dove, Buff-breasted Paradise Kingfisher & Blue-faced Honeyeater. The Lesser Sooty Owl & Papuan Frogmouth Owl can be spotted at night time, along with animals such as the Stripped Possum and Green Ringtail Possum. Our culinary delights are prepared here at the retreat using seasonal produce sourced from local growers.

Guests at the retreat can stay in one of three private cabins nestled in the hillside, surrounded by rainforest. The timber cabins provide a rustic feel and complement the natural bush land setting, taking advantage of the magnificent views and seclusion of the property.
Breakfast is also included with your accommodation and consists of fresh fruits, homemade granola, cereal, yogurt, juice & eggs. We go out of our way to use produce from our surrounding area, including what is grown on our own land.
We can also provide lunch hamper and dinners on request at time of booking. We cater to everyone’s dietary needs.
