M11481 is one of Zambia's top safari Lodges, founded by the late Norman Carr the ethics by which he ran his safaris are still maintained today. With our main safari lodge, Kapani, and four individually designed bushcamps, we pride ourselves on offering a varied range of safari experiences. You will be escorted by a team of Zambia's best safari guides and can chose between a simple, back-to-nature walking safari, journeying from one bushcamp to the next; or alternatively set a slower pace with a longer stay at the main lodge complemented by a stay at one or more of our more luxurious bushcamps.

We offer an entirely personalised service, providing you with the safari of your choice. The Luangwa Valley is an unspoilt location where the concentration and variety of wildlife, both animal and bird, is unequalled. This is wild, untamed Africa at its best.

Property amenities:
M11481 has 10 rooms (20 beds), it is open 12 months of the year.
We have 4 remote bushcamps which have 4 rooms each and specialise in walking safaris. These are open from 1st June Through till the end of October. They are called, Luwi, Nsolo, kakuli and Mchenja

Packages:
M11481 is an exclusive, private camp situated on the banks of one of the many ox-bow lagoons in the South Luangwa. It accommodates just twenty guests and is open throughout the year.

Each of the eight standard suites has its own lounge with bar fridge and the beds have overhead fans inside their walk-in mosquito nets. Our two Lagoon Houses are even more spacious with private views and elegant furniture.

The camp is on mains electricity and offers most modern facilities. A thatched building in the centre of the camp houses the lounge and library. It is pleasantly cool in the hot weather and warm and cosy in the cooler months with an open fire. The bar and dining area is set on a deck overlooking the Kapani Lagoon.

According to the season, dining is al fresco with dinner taken on the terrace, on the spacious deck, by the swimming pool or in the lounge. Private dinners can also be arranged for guests seeking a little more seclusion.

We have a small gift shop offering books and local crafts as well as a secluded swimming pool at the far end of camp. Kapani means – place of mopane trees.
