The Araras Lodge is a private rain forest refuge located 60 kilometers up the Rio Negro River from the city of Manaus just before the Anavilhanas Archipelago (an Ecological Reserve and now Eco tourism Park).
This floating lodge is a great place to relax and explore the region if clients have only a few days in the region, or would prefer a lodge rather than boat as their base. Near the lodge are quiet rivers and islands to explore by canoe, and guided walks take place on rain forest trails near the lodge.
The only sunset-facing lodge in the Amazon with a veranda offering river and island views; the only family-run lodge in the area, and no mosquitoes! Lodge-only programs feature Day 1 boat trip to the famous "meting of the waters" (Amazon x Negro Rivers) near Manaus city + daily trekking and canoeing side trips. All meals, guide, activities and transport are included.

Policy:
We expect full payment before a visit. Depending on flights in/out of Manaus guests may wish hotel in Manaus. Airport transfers in/out are included as is transportation to/from lodge, all meals and daily activities with English speaking professional guide.
A lodge stay must be 2 nights minimum and usually begins with 2pm check-in and 11 am check-out. Smoking is permitted only on outdoor verandas. No pets, please. Children are welcome. There is no handicapped access.

Our 7 day/7 night Riverboat package costs US$1050 per person and offers 1-2 nights at the lodge along the way.
Package includes airport transfers, hotel in Manaus city, historic city tour and 6 days/5 nights Riverboat + Lodge combination tour.
We also offer an upgraded Houseboat option (a/c cabins) with Sunday departures only. Both coordinate with TAM and COPA Airline's daily Miami-Manaus schedules.

Apart from our 7, 11 and 15 night all-inclusive packages it is possible to put together a shorter program combining "x" days Lodge, Riverboat or Houseboat + airport transfers + hotel + optional city tour.
