Our year-round bungalows are lakefront on the west side of Hubbard Lake in a quiet enclave of summer homes. Water recreation includes swimming, snorkeling, fishing, water skiing, and canoeing. Winter sports include Ice Fishing, Snow-Shoeing, Ice Skating, Tobogganing, and snowmobiling. Other nearby recreation includes golf, hiking, bicycling, cross-country skiing, and hunting.
Mt. Maria, on the south shore, is the most famous place in the county, and was listed by National Geographic as one of the ten most beautiful lake views in the country. At the top of Mt. Maria is the site of the Austin Backus Memorial. The Mt. Maria Lodge, at the bottom of the hill, is home to Hubbard Lake’s most extensive museum of local history.
Located in northern Alcona County, scenic Hubbard Lake is Michigan’s 2nd largest inland lake. It was named for Dr. Bela Hubbard, who, along with Dr. Douglass Houghton, first surveyed the area in 1850. The lake’s widest point stretches 7 miles from North Bay to Backus Beach - spanning the area of three townships: Caledonia, Alcona and Hawes. Hubbard Lake covers 8,850 acres and has a water depth of 97 feet. Fish include Pike, Tiger, Muskie, Walleye, Bass, Perch, Trout, and White Fish.

The year round vacation property has two bungalows located in a quiet residential area on the west side of Hubbard Lake. The west bungalow is a two bedroom/one bath unit accommodating six with fireplace and Lake view. The other is a two bedroom/one bath unit accommodating six with AC, washer dryer, & Lake Front. The vacation bungalows have heat, cable TV’s, DVD players, and fully-equipped kitchens with coffee makers, microwaves, dishes, and pots and pans. Pillows and blankets are provided. The lake property has sandy bottom swimming, 30-foot boat dock, picnic table, lawn furniture, barbecue grills and fire pit. The cottages are not handicapped accessible.

This Michigan vacation lake resort has two bungalows available for rent year round. During the summer season, the rental rate for the west bungalow is $575 per week, & the lake front bungalow is 675.00 per week. (6 guests each, Sunday to Sunday). Off-season, the rental rate is $95 per night (6 guests per cottage max).
