Therefore, the most basic qualities that Master Chia envisioned and manifested for the resort are: good air, good water, and good food - the most basic requirements for good health on all levels. The essentials for emotional and spiritual health are good intentions, good heart and good chi! Almost all of the food served here is grown organically on the premises and handled without chemicals, preservatives or long-term storage. The water served is filtered and purified through reverse osmosis and is fit to drink than popular bottled water. Quality is guaranteed by certificate of standards for a health spa business and a certificate of permission for a medical clinic from the Thai government.

Within a few hours of my arrival I am aware that this is far more than just an ordinary spa. Established ten years ago as a Taoist training center and spiritual retreat by respected Tao master and author, Mantak Chia, this unique and deeply spiritual place has since evolved and expanded to incorporate a comprehensive selection of health treatments and facilities that are harmoniously integrated with the Taoist principles on which the resort is based.
