Allen’s Diamond Four Ranch located in the rugged Wind River Mountain Range is Wyoming’s highest wilderness dude/guest ranch offering cabins, horse riding, fly fishing, pack trips, family ranch vacations, and hunting in Shoshone National Forest. The Wind River Mountain Range boast the largest active glaciers in the lower 48 states, hundreds of alpine lakes teeming with wild trout, abundant wildlife and world class mountain/rock climbing. The Diamond Four Ranch gives you access to 100,000 spectacular acres. So saddle up and join us for a multi-day, remote wilderness experience. Families, groups and individuals are welcome. Jim Allen carries on the family tradition of hosting visitors in the spectacular Wind River Mountain Range like his grandfather did here in the 1920’s. Jim & Mary love packing in the "Winds" and are dedicated to using the land wisely with minimum impact camping practices.

High in the Wind River Mountains of Wyoming where the road ends and trails begin is Allen’s Diamond Four Ranch. Far from civilization, Jim and Mary Allen take pride in the simple rustic comfort their ranch provides guests. Cozy log cabins, main cook lodge and horse corrals await visitors here at 9,200 feet above sea level where the summer night air is brisk and the day temps are just right.

The ranch is a perfect place for a family vacation, a summer retreat or a mountain getaway. Your stay includes a cabin, three meals a day in the cook lodge, horseback riding, fishing, natural history hikes, wildlife watching. Since we are Wyoming’s highest and most remote dude ranch, there is no electricity. However, we are proud of the rustic comfort we provide guests in each painstakingly handcrafted log cabin. The Diamond 4 Ranch is small, yet friendly with propane lights, sink and heater in each cozy cabin with shower house nearby.

Experience our unique wilderness hospitality and the mountain grandeur that can only be enjoyed far away from noisy highways and crowded civilization. And bring the whole family for an unforgettable alpine vacation!

Advance reservations only with 25% deposit. No refunds after 60 days before your vacation, deposit is useable following year however. No smoking. No pets. Children welcome. All vacations are customized for you.

BIG GAME HUNTING

Big game animals such as Elk, Mule Deer, Pronghorn Antelope, Bighorn Sheep and Moose outnumber Wyoming residents 2 to 1. The Allen's Diamond Four Ranch has offered excellent guided big game hunts since 1973. With two remote wilderness elk camps, you can enjoy an old - fashioned guided horseback hunt. We also have top quality Antelope, Deer, Bighorn Sheep and Moose hunts for the discriminating outdoorsman. All Wyoming Elk Licenses are sold via lottery in January, and all other species are by lottery in March. All hunts are fully guided and include meals and accommodations at a wilderness camp or our ranch.
