Fisherman don’t limit your family to the big windy wavy waters of Winnie, give yourself another option. A nice quiet protected lake with limited other boats and fantastic fishing. Dixon Lake is an excellent family or sport group fishing lake. Kids can catch fish right off the docks! The serious fisherman will be in his dream situation with walleye, crappie, pike, perch, bluegill & bass. Dixon Lake is surrounded by Chippewa National Forest with 85% of the lake undeveloped with certainty that it will always be this way. Where else can you look across a lake and see nothing but wildlife and trees?! This really contributes to the lakes beauty and quietness. It also aids in the success of fishing and hunting.
FISHING - Dixon Lake is an excellent fishing lake with varying depths, weed beds, islands, and 9 miles of shoreline. It is noted for its awesome spring walleyes and crappies. Northern pike, jumbo perch, sunnies and an occasional large mouth bass are also present. The lake is 660 acres in size with a max. depth of 30 feet. We provide many conveniences for our guests including bait, tackle, gas, oil, motors, boats, licenses, 5 docks, a fish cleaning house and extra freezer space to store your catch. There are several small lakes nearby that offer different fishing adventures for those who like to explore.
HUNTING - Whether grouse duck or deer, you’ll find Dixon Lake Resort has it all. We have thousands of acres of state & federal hunting land surrounding our resort. There are several trails no matter which way you venture for grouse hunting, whether you choose to walk or ride. Our deer population is up and the swamps are full of water again, so the deer will have no where to hide. Duck hunting is always a must in this area as the many small lake streams and rivers provide endless possibilities for the avid duck hunter. Several damns have been broke in the area bringing water levels down for a lot more wild rice this year on all the area lakes.

Our lakeside modern cabins are right on the lake, no hills to climb, super clean, comfortable new or newly remodeled. Each has its own "up north" theme and comes with air conditioning, soft water, fresh linens, microwave, picnic table, soft water, fire ring and charcoal grill. Some have gas fireplaces, decks or porches. Our cabins comfort knotty pine interiors, with quality craftmanship, homemade log and theme furniture which really gives you that Minnesota cabin feel. All our cabins feature wildlife art and wood burned pieces created by owners Lyle and Kathryn. All cabins have magnificent view of Beautiful Dixon Lake and all its majesty. Each cabin has lots of yard space, and a dock directly in front of it.

$200.00 deposit required, no refunds within 60 days of reservation. You are responsible for all charges for cabins reserved. Lakeside cabins weekly stays only June 10th through August 20th. All other times are 2 day minimum. Pets allowed but must by kept under control, cleaned up after, and not left unattended. Pet Charges $15.00/day $90.00/week. Check in 3:00 pm. Check out 9:00 am.
