Condor Outfitters leads you on a hunting adventure to Uruguay. Uruguay is located between Argentina and Brazil on the South American Coast, a country whose mainstay is agriculture and ranching. There you will find large expanses of open fields planted in sunflower, wheat, oats, and other grain crops. The abundance of grain has made Uruguay a premier bird-shooting destination during growing and harvest season, which lasts from January through September.
You will board an evening flight out of the U.S.A., make a plane change in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and arrive in Montevideo, the capital of Uruguay. There you will be met by our representative, get cleared through customs, and be on your way to an estancia (working ranch) for your four days of shooting. Uruguay offers high volume dove, pigeon, and Perdiz shooting, in one of the most stable areas of South America.

While the season for Perdiz runs May through July, the season for doves and pigeons goes from January through September. Our favorite times to hunt Perdiz, doves, and pigeons in Uruguay are the months of January through September. This time period coincides with the various grain harvests. The sheer number of birds in the region at this time is stunning. The ranchers actually consider it a public service when we help with population control and you will experience a hunt like no other!

The Hunt:
Morning hunts for either Perdiz, dove, or pigeons normally begin after breakfast. The locations have been selected based on the previous evening's scouting. Bird boys carry the shells and shooting stool, and assist you to your shooting station. They will make sure you don't run out of shells. From then on it's fire at will! Afternoon hunts usually take place after a siesta, at known roost locations. The varieties of shots are as endless as the flocks, and there seem to always be birds within reasonable range.
The Perdiz season runs May through July. It's much like quail hunting, but with a seemingly endless supply of points. These birds are an upland hunter's dream! Perdiz are about the size of a Bobwhite, found in singles and pairs.

Uruguay is located between Argentina and Brazil on the South American 7-9 hour flying time depending on connection. The ranches are located from 2-4 hours from Montevideo the Capital city of Uruguay.
Policy:
A fifty percent deposit at the time of reservation will guarantee your booking. Final payment is 60 days prior to arrival in country for the hunt. Ammunition is sold on site at $10 per box, there is a bird boy fee of $125 and a fee for tips for the overall shaft. The price includes an open bar, hunting permits, gun permits, field entry fees. All in country transportation in connection with the hunt.
