Spelt, an ancient grain first mentioned in the bible is renowned for its high levels of protein, essential fatty acids and vitamin E. Sharpham Park, Roger and Monty's home in deepest Somerset is the only organic farm to grow commercial Spelt here in the UK and to extract the oil from the germ. Spelt Germ Oil is particularly beneficial for dry and cracked skin, eczema, stretch marks, poor blood circulation, scars, tired and over exerted muscles and prematurely aged skin. Monty's have created a range of exclusive individual treatments using the Spelt Germ Oil with the signature being the 2 hour Ultimate Spelt Therapy.

Delicious, healthy food is provided throughout the hotel and Spa with their own range of Spelt products and organic meats from Sharpham Park on the menu. Finally, if you really can't live without the outside world and you can drag yourself away from nibbling on delicious snacks in the Spa, then the Mulberry Factory Shop is 5 minutes up the road or venture down to Clarks Village for the ultimate in retail therapy.

Monty's Spelt Therapy: Treatment Menu: Monty's Spa has created a range of highly individual treatments offering their take on what they feel you need to relax, de-stress and contemplate. All of the treatments incorporate our very own Monty's Products - a unique, botanical range with ingredients chosen for their quality, purity and therapeutic values and which all contain our own very special ingredients, Spelt Germ Oil and Walnut Oil.
All of the products are freshly prepared by hand for use in a selection of therapeutic face and body treatments. Spelt Germ Oil is particularly good for the skin due to its high levels of vitamin E which helps eradicate free radicals, soften and improve the smoothness of the skin and also aid elasticity and firmness. Walnut oil possesses excellent moisturizing, anti-aging, regenerative and toning properties. Treatment Suitability: All Treatments are suitable for both men and women (excluding the Mother to Be Massage and the Butch Facial).
Ultimate Spelt Therapy: Spelt, an ancient grain first mentioned in the bible is renowned for its high levels of protein, essential fatty acids and vitamin E. This luxurious treatment features a back cleanse, ex foliation and therapeutic massage with smoothing and stimulating oils of Orange, Eucalyptus and Sweet Marjoram together with vitamin and mineral rich Jojoba, Macadamia oil to leave you feeling revitalized.
Aromatherapy Massage: 75 minutes £65.00. Essential oils, derived from plants are used for their medicinal qualities to help prevent and relieve many common complaints. After a detailed consultation the therapist personally blends the oils to suit your requirements, then relax as your body absorbs the oils and let your mind drift as you inhale the powerful aromas.
Deep Tissue Massage: 75 minutes £65.00. An intensive and therapeutic massage, perfect for muscle tension and targeting aches and pains. Increase circulation with Black Pepper, warm and soothe muscles with Chamomile and Nutmeg. Mother To Be: 60 minutes £55.00. This treatment has been created using gentle oils of Rose and Mandarin to relax the mind and body. Soothing movements relieve aching muscles; Vitamin E and Spelt Germ nourish and improve the skins elasticity. Please note that all Mothers must be over 3 months into the pregnancy.
Reviving Full Body Massage: 60 minutes £55.00. A physically energizing full body massage to relieve stress, ease tension and sharpen the senses featuring citrus notes of Grapefruit, Lime and Orange. Monty's Quick Fix 30 minutes £35.00. Short of time? This is the perfect treatment to relieve tension using an aromatherapy oil specific for your needs, concentrating on the back, neck and shoulders.
Spelt and Walnut Oil Face Therapies. Monty's Luxury Facial 75 minutes £65.00. A luxurious facial treatment incorporating the face, scalp, neck and back, in conjunction with our Hydrotherm system. Aloe Vera and Lavender are used to soothe and balance the skin, Geranium, Exotic Jasmine and Rose to revive the skin and nurture the senses.
Monty's Facial Rejuvenation: 75 minutes £65.00. Beginning with a full cleanse and ex foliation, the Ayurvedic facial rejuvenation requires no surgery or equipment, only a specialized technique of repetitive finger movements along wrinkles and habitual lines. By massaging the underlying connective tissue, this deeply relaxing facial relieves tension, smooths away lines, brings back elasticity and suppleness to the skin and therefore promotes a more vibrant and youthful appearance. Monty's Steam Clean' Facial: 60 minutes £55.00. A complete facial featuring our unique Rose and Jasmine Exfoliant and a light, gentle steam which warms and decongestant the skin. Combined with a balancing massage and our ultimate Coffee and Mud Face Masque to detox and withdraw impurities, your complexion will be soft and glowing. An excellent treatment for all skins types, including those with congested pores.
Butch Facial For Men: 60 minutes £55.00. Refresh and stimulate with Cypress and Petitgrain and cleanse with Geranium and Aloe Vera. This deeply relaxing treatment features massage of the shoulders, neck, face and scalp and is finished with a delicious thrill of Fresh Orange Blossom. Express Facial: 30 minutes £35.00. Our unique Eye-Bright blend banishes puffiness and reduces dark circles featuring a draining massage and refreshing eye mask. An excellent anti-aging eye treatment. Manicures: Therapeutic Manicure 60 minutes £40.00. Nourish, smooth and soften your hands with warmed oils of Peach Kernel, Carrot Seed, Rose and Geranium with Added Vitamin E. Smart Hands: 30 minutes £25.00. Cleanse, cuticle condition and nail cut and shape followed by hand conditioning using Cloves, Cinnamon and Grapefruit. Le Remedi: 30 minutes £25.00. This remarkable hand conditioning treatment by Jessica leaves your hands feeling silky smooth, brighter and firmer. Including a hand ex foliation, mask and serum containing Wheat Germ, Vitamin E and Papaya, this anti-aging hand facial results in younger looking hands.
Express Manicure 30 minutes £25.00. After conditioning of hands, the nails are filed to shape and finished with a varnish of your choice. French Polish can be added for an extra £5.00 and 15 minutes.
Pedicures: Monty's Natural Pedicure 60 minutes £40.00. This blissful pedicure concentrates on reconditioning the feet, removing hard skin using our softening Seaweed Scrub. Our deeply nourishing Peach and Jojoba Masque and massage completely re-hydrate's the skin. Nails are buffed to a high shine leaving you with naturally beautiful feet to be proud of. Polish can be added for an extra £10.00 and 15 minutes.
Heavenly Feet: 60 minutes £45.00. Stimulating and soothing, a salubrious and invigorating blend of Spearmint, Coriander, Lemon and Ginger to revive weary feet. A complete pedicure, finishing with a polish of your choice to take home. French Polish can be added for an extra £5.00 and 15 minutes. Cool Feet: 45 minutes £35.00. Cleanse, cuticle condition and nail cut and shape followed by foot conditioning using Grapefruit, Rosemary and Juniper.
Express Pedicure: 30 minutes £25.00. An express version of the Heavenly Feet Treatment. Finished with a polish of your choice. French Polish can be added for an extra £5.00 and 15 minutes. Therapeutic Body Treatments: Body Envelopment. During this luxury treatment you will experience body brushing to stimulate the circulation and ex foliation to refine, smooth and renew the skin. After an invigorating shower, cocoon in a body wrap from the selection below and enjoy a sense of warmth and comfort. Follow this with a scalp massage and a hair-conditioning masque of Cocoa Butter, Aloe Vera and Evening Primrose oil. Complete with a silhouette toning and nourishing cream.
This treatment can be received in our luxurious Wet Treatment Room and can include use of the spa facilities at a special rate of £15.00. Purify 90 minutes: £80.00 or 60 minutes excluding salt exfoliation £60.00. An enveloping blend incorporating fresh Irish Seaweed, Hawaiian Spirulena, Orange Blossom and Honey. This detoxifying treatment will help improve skin tone, refine contours and tighten and reinforce the skin's elasticity.
Restore 90 minutes: £80.00 or 60 minutes excluding salt exfoliation £60.00. This Peach and Jojoba cream wrap features essence of Sandalwood, Lavender, Jasmine and Roman Chamomile to leave your skin deeply nourished and hydrated. Awaken 90 minutes: £80.00 or 60 minutes excluding salt exfoliation £60.00. Sandalwood, Ylang Ylang and Black Pepper feature in this spicy warming Honey and Mango Body Masque to aid circulation, relax muscles and deep cleanse the skin.
Aromatic Sea Salt Treatment: 40 minutes £40.00. A contouring treatment featuring body brushing and full body exfoliation. Nourishing Jojoba Oil and Almond Oil replenish thirsty skin, refreshing Seaweed Extract and Lemongrass will leave you feeling ultra smooth and tingly from top to toe! This treatment can be received in our luxurious Wet Treatment Room and can include use of the spa facilities at a special rate of £15.00.
Holistic Therapies: La Stone Therapy 90 minutes £80.00. The original hot and cold massage based on the traditional practices of the Native American Indians. The therapeutic and physiological benefits potential of this treatment is beyond measure. The hot and cold basalt and marble stones stimulate the body producing alternately sedative and energizing responses. Subject to availability with Spa Therapist, Lucy Neal.
Detoxifying Lymphatic Drainage 90 minutes £80.00. This advanced therapy is designed to improve the function of the lymphatic system by using gentle, rhythmical movements. Stimulation of the lymphatic vessels results in helping a large number of different ailments such as: rosacea, allergies, fluid retention, sinusitis, migraines, and cellulite, as well as helping to improve the immune system, promoting self-healing and good health. The detoxifying program includes skin brushing of the entire body and the use of bergamot, juniper and cypress essential oils, which aid the removal of toxins.
Hopi Ear Candles 45 minutes £40.00. This ancient therapy has been used by the Hopi Indian tribes of America to revitalize head and ears. The ear candle is a natural product hand made by a traditional recipe of precious honey extracts, linen fabric in its natural form and powdered Indian medicinal herbs. Besides being a most pleasant, relaxing experience, the treatment can help alleviate wax build up, ringing in the ears, ear/sinus irritations, regulate pressure in the case of headache, migraine or rhinitis and stimulate energy flow circulation.
Reflexology 60 minutes £60.00. A rejuvenating foot exfoliant to cleanse, soften and stimulate using an exotic blend of Lemon grass, Black Pepper, Myrrh and Aloe Vera. Oriental and holistic pressure point massage of your feet is used to treat a number of ailments, creating a deep sense of calm and relaxation. Indian Head Massage 30 minutes £35.00.
