A short stay of three days and two nights in Refugio Altiplano in the Amazon rainforest of Peru, will include wonderful leisure activities such as trekking in the bush, canoing or kayaking to nearby lakes, learning about the properties of local medicinal plants and, if desired, ceremonies with the "mother of plants", Ayahuasca.
A longer stay - seven days and six nights - will include more ceremonies and learning sessions and additional leisure activities among which visiting nearby communities and mixing with locals in everyday life activities.
The programs are all-inclusive and guests are escorted and assisted during all the stay.
Property amenities:
Water – The water used for cooking and available for drinking is always purified, bottled water.
Other Guest Services – Your maluka is checked daily for cleanliness and supplies. Laundry is done every two days. Ask if you have special needs and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Internet and Phone – There is no connectivity at the Refugio itself (we hope that wireless will be coming soon). You can check email in Iquitos at one of the inexpensive Internet cafes. Phone calls can be made from Iquitos and Tamichakyu.
Travel – The office staff will assist in making alternative plane, hotel or other arrangements if you want to change your itinerary from Peru.

From Lima you will fly to Iquitos, Peru, where you will be greeted by the Refugio staff and taken by speedboat upriver to the Refugio.
