Our villa has a private lane way leading up to the house from where you can enjoy splendid sea views all year round. Children can skateboard or cycle right around the house, where you will find car parking facilities for up to 5 cars.
Our villa enjoys beautiful sea views from most parts of the house and garden. There is garden furniture available to seat up to 12 people comfortably in and around the house and garden, and terraces and/or garden seating is possible all around the house facing every direction. The outside allows for bar-be-queuing from different angles to avoid the sometimes heavy sea breeze, and a mobile bar-be-queue unit was purchased for that reason.
A large secluded garden next to the house completes the grounds with an unusually high level of privacy. Behind the garden, a little lane way leads to a fantastic viewing point for bird watching, painting and/or just sheer enjoyment of ‘mother nature’! A small tent can easily be pitched on this ground. There is plenty of space for children to play – and no traffic to be afraid of!
Our villa's outside is built in the old 'cottage' style, with the typical dormer windows for the upstairs bedrooms. The outer appearance is quite deceptive, as the house is large and spacious, and - due to its panoramic windows - much brighter than a typical cottage! It is also in the ideal location for a genuinely peaceful holiday - no noisy neighbors, no traffic, only birds, sheep and cows - and the occasional badger, grouse or bat.
* The Living Room: The spacious living room is well designed and comfortably furnished. The three-seater sofa is complemented by two single armchairs and a double sofa-bed. There are a number of side tables and foot stools and the music and entertainment center are based here: large screen TV, video, DVD and satellite; music center with CD, radio and cassette player.
* The Dining Room: Holds a large size oval table, which comfortably seats 5-8 people in front of the large panorama window. Here you will let time go by: watch the boats to and from Scotland go by day and by night; watch the cows and sheep in the nearby fields, see the lights of the cars on the Antrim coast road at night, or observe the bats hunting for flies.
* The Kitchen: In our villa's modern kitchen you will find anything you may need to cook, roast, grill or bake, as well as a radio for your entertainment. The fridge/freezer, double oven and double sink are complimented with a dishwasher, toaster, coffee and espresso makers, and of course there is a 'Welcome Pack' of foods for your first breakfast, together with complimentary tea & coffee, serials, milk and biscuits. And because we are safety conscious, this is where you will find a fire extinguisher as well as a fire blanket - better safe than sorry!
* The Utilities Room: This is like having another full-size kitchen with washing machine, tumble drier, ironing and microwave facilities. And of coures there is washing powder to start you off with! The additional fridge located here can come in real handy in the summer months for chilling drinks - and or when catering for larger groups.
* The Main Bedroom: Holds a king-size bed with two bedside tables; a comfortable chair and side table; a dressing table with mirror, hair drier, tissues, tongues, adapters and a rocking chair; two radio-cassette players, and a built-in wardrobe with light. There is also a full-size mirror and a smaller magnifying mirror for your convenience. The three windows of this main bedroom allow splendid views across the hills of Portmuck and of the sea and Glens of Antrim.
* The Twin Bedroom: This room has two single beds with bedside tables, dresser, wardrobe and a little bookshelf with books for all ages in both English and German. The views from the two panoramic windows reach all over the ocean to both the Antrim and the Scottish coastline, as well as over the large private garden.
* The Bathroom: The spacious bathroom has a bath as well as a separate shower unit.
