The Leopard Longhouse is a 45 foot long linear bungalow built in the British Raj Style, into the mountain scape of the site renowned as Spa Ashram River Mountain, enroute between the holy temple towns of Hardwar and Rishikesh in the Himalayan foothills, and Badrinath also of historical importance to Hindus, as well as Hemkund, of pilgrimage attraction to Sikhs. The British mountain explorers like Eric Shipman, Tillman and others, were captivated by the alpine style beauty of the region and performed their major Himalayan explorations here in the 1800's.

The Bungalow is of a simple beauty and features recycled Himalayan slate, ancient carved timbers and carved stonework. It is built of lime mortar surfacing which is the classical Indian method, long lasting for years. The main longroom features the bed and sitting area. The unique features include the sunk bath which is built against a backdrop of a natural rockwaterfall and pool, with the extra wide doors of the longroom opening to reveal this natural feature in a manner which extends the longroom view.

The high verandah with its ancient restored carved pillars, copper toned flooring, and private sit out below in a patio which houses an original Lutyens stone oil lamp, are other features. A large private and attached kitchen, as well as a roof top verandah, solar and handlit, candle and kerosene lighting, are other features visitors count as "luxuries". Canadian mural artist Susanne Pink's hand painted full size Leopard mural and fish of the river murals are a renowned feature of the Leopard Longhouse at Spa Ashram River Mountain.

The Luxury Raj tent is made of Indian canvas and cotton and features a private verandah extension, furnished for two, jute coir flooring, and 12x12 bedroom with essential furniture. A private extension housing the toilet and sunk bath, again with essential furniture, completes this accomodation to allow visitors the warm and cosy feel that only canvas can provide. A river's edge view is an attraction.
