There is a large comfortable lounge with stunning Catalan vaulted ceiling a bar & several dining areas peppered with bouquets of dried flowers and bowls of aromatic herbs & potpourri, an open plan kitchen leading to a spacious pantry which gives access to the natural spring and BBQ area.As captivating as the house is, it's glories are certainly rivaled in the exotic beauty of the gardens where pleasing seating areas abound for quiet repose. Perhaps the most beautiful of these areas is beside the ancient spring after which the house is named. In the dappled shade of tropical plants water trickle from the moss covered rocks into a pool alive with darting carp, colourful goldfish and Koi.
A completely private and secluded walled garden lush with flowers, shrubs, banana and orange trees provide the magical setting for the turquoise waters of the gorgeous kidney shaped swimming pool. The pool and garden is lit at night which creates yet another setting for dining alfresco.
La Fuente Vieja has three double bedrooms and three bathrooms two of which are en-suite. An un-balustraded staircase leads upstairs to a library landing and then out to the prettiest leafy veranda facing the Hozgarganta river. Silk wall hangings adorn the double bedded pink room with private dressing room. The twin bedded blue room is also decorated with original paintings and fresh cotton prints. A light and airy yellow room, overlooking the mountains, with double pine bed completes the trio in the main house.

La Fuente Vieja is in Jimena de la Frontera, Andalucia, Spain. Only a short walk away, Jimena is a traditional white village with a Roman and Moorish castle steeped in history and with many traditional tapas bars and excellent restaurants. Our area is also one of the main locations for bird watching in Europe. Many rare and endangered species migrate through this area. La Fuente Vieja is perfectly situated for day trips to Seville, Jerez, Arcos, Ronda, Granada and along the coast you have Sotogrande, Marbella, Gibraltar, Tarifa, Cadiz. The airports in the area are: Malaga, Gibraltar and Jerez.
