Your Itinerary
Days 1-3: Brisbane-Kondalilla Nat'l Park-Noosa Beach
Our first stop is the famous Australia Zoo, home of Steve Irwin, the "Crocodile Hunter"! Spend the second day hiking through rainforest to waterfalls and then trying your hand at the Aussie sport of surfing! Next we hike along beach coves, blowholes and bluffs to Hell's Gate, rearing out of the ocean. (B/L/D).
Days 4-5: Fraser Island - Town of "1770"
Today you have free reign to discover what gives Fraser Island its World Heritage Park status. Relax, enjoy the pools and beach, take a 4WD trip, or paddle canoes in search of dolphins and sea birds. Enjoy the fabulous Kingfisher Bay Eco-Resort with its assortment of amenities. Then explore the coastline where Captain Cook first discovered Australia. (B/L/D).
Days 6-7: Myella Cattle Station
Into the Outback and the hospitality of Peter and Olive Eather on their working cattle station! Ride horseback, hang out with the orphaned baby kangaroos, ride a motor bike or 4-wheeler, watch the sun set over the boab trees and listen to a good yarn around the campfire. (B/L/D).
Days 8-9: Eungella National Park
Trek through Finch Hatton Gorge to the stunning Araluen Falls and The Wheel of Fire for a refreshing swim in the clear water of the pools. Hike through rainforest atop the Clarke Range and search for the elusive platypus. (B/L/D).
Days 10-13: Great Barrier Reef - Whitsunday Islands
Live aboard the "Oceania" as we snorkel and scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef, home to hundreds of species of coral, fish, and mollusks. Sea kayak to a beautiful beach on tiny White Rock Island. (B/L/D).
Not a water bug? Substitute a backpacking trip to Hinchinbrook Island or an adventure to Ayers Rock for Days 9-12. Contact us for details!
