After approximately 7 hours flight from New York City, Dakar, a modern metropolis and capital city of Senegal opens wide the gateway to Africa.
After you have checked into your hotel, whether the luxuries 5-star deluxe Meridien Presidente or the more relaxed 3-star Ganale, go see Senegal where you won't escape being charmed by the craftsmen and their work.
From the beautiful women in their multicolored dresses and warm smiles to the cheerful exuberance of the typical African market life to the bustling daily routine in the busy streets, the welcome is always warm
A few minutes away from Dakar by boat lies the charming island of Goree where the sandy streets lined with pastel colored houses, contrasts dramatically with the somber memory of Goree's past brought to life by the door of no return, a lasting remembrance of some of the darkest pages in the history of the slave trade.
Experience Saly Resort a haven of relaxation and pleasure with a carpet of Golden Sands stretching as far as the eye will allow.
In Senegal anytime is dancing time night or day, so if you are surprised by the sound coming from one of the many ceremonies accompanied by the beat of the Tam Tam (drum) then be prepared to be pulled in to participate in the merrymaking.
Experience the daily life of a friendly village people including the spectacle of the fisherman returning to shore and the drying and distribution of the days catch.
Or visit the fertile lands of the Casamance region known as Senegal's Storehouse where the land is still used for farming and cattle raising.
On your return to Dakar stop by the old colonial capital of San Louis where history resides on every corner.
For business, for holidays, to discover your heritage or just for the pleasure of it, visit Senegal.
