Your home base, Cabarete is the preferred destination for many adventure travelers who like to have the afternoons free for windsurfing. This program consists of 5 adventure tours that take place in the morning insuring your return in the early afternoon to try your luck at windsurfing when the Trade Winds pick up.
Your Itinerary
Day 1:
DOWNHILL MOUNTAIN BIKING
A barreling downhill cycling trip involving more braking than pedaling. This fantastic biking tour begins at an altitude of 3000 feet overlooking one one of the most beautiful valleys in the Caribbean. You'll enjoy lots of off road and singletrack! You'll bike through vast plantations and tiny villages as well as over a small dam. You'll end the trip with a refreshing dip at a wide bend in the river and some cliff diving, if you're up to it!

Day 2:
MOUNTAINSIDE HORSEBACK RIDING
What a day this is! You'll begin your trip at a wonderful little ranch outside of town. After being matched with the proper horse, you'll ride high in the mountains on roads that are inaccessible even to bikes and motorcycles. You'll cross a number of rivers, gallop down quiet jungle paths and enjoy vistas so stunning that even the horses to pause to check them out. This fun journey to a part of the Dominican Republic seldom seen by tourists is no "ponies in a circle" horseback riding trip.

Day 3:
SAILING AND SNORKELING IN SOSUA BAY
This morning begins on a small launch at fabulous Sosua Beach. You'll be transported out to the "Aida" in the middle of the bay to begin a perfect Caribbean day! After cruising around the bay and it's environs, we'll head out along the coast to explore some secluded coves and lonely stretches of tropical beach thick with coconut groves and surreal sand dunes. We'll anchor at Tres Rocas,a huge coral head teeming with tropical fish. Here you can snorkel or just kick back, get some sun, enjoy a few free frosty beers or tropical cocktails and soak in the incredible view of Puerto Plata's towering Mt. Isabel.

Day 4:
What's Cabarete without windsurfing. Today you'll spend the morning taking windsurfing lessons in Cabarete Bay. In the afternoon, we'll supply you with a board & sail and you're on your own!

Day 5:
CASCADING & HIKING
This is our favorite adventure trip. After a great 30 minute hike through a tropical forest & wading across numerous clean, cool rivers, you'll reach a mountain pool at the bottom of the 27 waterfalls of Damajuagua. You'll climb these falls with the assistance of Moreno and Jose. You'll explore slot canyons, caves and tunnels, all the while fighting the rushng mountain stream. As much fun as this is, the real excitement is jumping, diving, swimming, leaping and sliding back down to the mountain pool. This is an adventure you'll never forget.
