Travel the Gold Rush Trail, step back into history and visit historic Barkerville the scene of the 1863 gold rush which brought miners from around the world to seek their fortunes. Fish for wild trout and pan for gold in the same creeks these hardy miners worked.
Your Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Day - fly into and overnight in Quesnel. Free afternoon and evening to explore the city of Quesnel. Visit the museum, walk the river walk tour along the Fraser River, spend an evening at the Billy Barker gambling casino for example. This night is on your own. (L/D).
Day 2: Your guide will meet you for breakfast and take you to Barkerville. Spend the day in Barkerville absoring the history - experiencing a day in the life of the 1860's gold rush town. Attend the professional "Theatre Royal" vaudeville production. Do some fishing in the Cariboo River. Overnight at the restored Wells Hotel. (B/L/D).
Day 3: After a hearty miner's breakfast head out into the back country and over the top of the Cariboo Mountains - beautiful scenery, wildlife viewing and excellent fly fishing in streams. Arrive at Pyna-tee-ah's lodge on Quesnel Lake for dinner. (B/L/D).
Days 4-5: Fly fishing, spin fishing or troll fishing on Quesnel Lake, surrounding smaller lakes and rivers. (B/L/D).
Day 6: Departure day. Do a bit more fishing around the lodge and prepare for your departure. (B).

Included: Fully guided fishing, accommodations, meals, boats, motors, gas, guides, tackle, license, on site fly fishing instruction and ground transport to and from Williams Lake.
