Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tbilisi. Hotel accommodation.
Day 2: Tbilisi sightseeing
Breakfast. Excursion to Winery “Savane” (1894-1896. Collections including 1600 sorts of wine, in which are Stalin’s private collections, Napoleon’s private cognacs), Wine Tasting. Lunch, after lunch drive to Mtskheta ancient capital of Georgia. Hotel accommodation.
Day 3: Gareja semi-desert
Cycling to Gareja semi-desert, where 17 rock-cut monasteries are located. One of the holiest places of Georgia. (visiting David Gareja monastery three times is equivalent to one visit to Jerusalem).
Day 4: Sabereebi monastery
Cycling to Sabereebi monastery. Today's route passes through the semi-desert. Camp near "Monks spring".
Day 5: Lagodekhi Natural reserve
"Monks spring" - Lagodekhi Natural reserve (national park).
Day 6: Telavi
Lagodekhi Natural reserve - Telavi the center of Kacheti region. (Royal town).
Day 7: Telavi via Gomborri Pass Sioni lake.
Day 8: Sioni Lake - Saguramo National Park.
Day 9: Kazbegi
Drive to drive to Kazbegi, center of the Khevi province. Visit to Gergeti Trinity church. The picturesque panorama opens from the site Kazbegi Mount (5047m), with the permanent snow cap and the long ceased volcano.
Day 10: Dispatch via Djvary Pass (2384 m) to Pasanauri by bicycle.
Day 11: Drive to Bakuriani, a quiet and beautiful resort.
Day 12: From Bakuriani cycle to Tabatskuri lake, via "Tskhra tskaro" pass (2458 m. S.L.) camp somewhere on the Tabatskuri lake.
Day 13: Tabatskuri lake - Alatumani-Baraleti - Khando
You leave the main road and go on north a very steep way, valley from Khando to Mtkvari - Khertvisi -Vardzia (12th -13th cc.) rock-cut complex during of Queen Tamar.
Day 14: Drive Abastumani and then biking to Sairme via Zekari pass (2278 m S.L.).
Day 15: Drive to Mamisoni pass (2829 m. S. L.)
Day 16: Mamisoni pass - Shovi resort - Shqmeri - Kharistvala.
Day 17: Ajara
Karistavla - Batumi, capital of Ajara. One of the ancient towns of Georgia (on the black sea). A settlement existed here in the 3rd-2nd cc BC. Ancient Greeks knew the site as “Bapus”. Hotel accommodation.
Day 18: Batumi rest day.
Day 19: Return to Tbilisi.
Day 20: Tbilisi. Leisure time.
Day 21: Departure.
